Ragnar Repeat

In April, I traveled to Southern California with some friends to do another Ragnar.  It was a blast!

This was our team name... we all wore cute neon tube socks and neon shirts with headbands.

This girl organized our van.  I love her.  She is such a great friend!

Party at the Half Way Point.... I think we started running our second leg at about 1 a.m.

Getting ready to send Sheri off on leg 2... uphill in the dark.... she rocked it!

Passing off the baton to Kim, who sprained her ankle 10 minutes into her next run.  Running at night didn't work out so well for her.  :(

My night run was my favorite.  I felt great... it was cold, but not TOO cold, and it was mostly flat!
While I was running at 2 a.m., Sheri napped on my steering wheel.  :)

The starting point for our final runs.  Too bad we didn't have time to go enjoy the beach!

Showing off our adorable socks.  I actually never wore mine while running... it was too hot!

Sheri and Kim. :)  Kim came up with our adorable team name.

Me hanging out with all the girls from the other van.  They are officially done running and soooo exhausted!

This was the starting point for my final run.  (Yep, that's an LDS church.)  My last run was six miles with the last two being straight uphill, but I made it!  I thought I was going to die on that never ending hill,  but I survived!  Best feeling EVER!

Shots from the finish line...

 The gorgeous San Diego Bay...

 Van 2... my new BFF's
Megan, Elise, Me, Sheri, Merilee, and Kim
Our entire team in front of the finish line

The windows on my car after I got home.  Ragnar is such a fun community experience, I didn't want to wash it all off.  I eventually did, though.  I promised Eric and my cousin, Heidi that I wouldn't do another Ragnar without them.  So in 2014, we are going to find a race and get a group of couples together to do it.  I can't wait!!!!

Overwhelming.....

In the six months since I've last blogged....

Taylor got his mission call...
Megan got her braces off...
Taylor graduated from High School...
Brayden got baptized...
Taylor and Megan went on a Pioneer trek...
Ian went to Scout Camp for a week...
Brayden went to Cub Scout Day Camp for 3 days...
Ian ran track and made the Bogle Football team...
I ran another Ragnar, went to Girls Camp and planned an epic family road trip....
Eric became a cycling addict and has started a major backyard BBQ remodeling project...
We all survived the two week Church History roadtrip in July....

And...
We said goodbye to our first born son and put him on a plane for two years to become a full time Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Yep... it's been a little crazy around here.  I really want to start blogging again, but I don't really know where to start.  So there... I just caught you all up on the insanity I call life lately.  I'll probably post a couple posts with pics of recent events.... especially of our road trip and sending Taylor off to the MTC.... but don't expect a full recap of the last six months... I just don't have the time or energy!

And in my blogging absense, Google Reader bit the dust.  Well, crap... now what do I do?  Help!
