The final track meet for kids not progressing onto the Regionals is called City Meet. All the high schools in our area, gather together for one big and LONG track meet. This year our High School hosted it, and I snuck out of the snack bar to watch Taylor run the mile. I snuck inside the track fence so I could get some good photos of Taylor running since everything I've gotten so far includes lots of chain link obstructions.

Here is Taylor on lap 2... if it were me, I'd be dead already!
Crossing the finish line... the last 100 meters for these 3 were very exciting. One thing that's funny about Taylor... he knows how to throw in a burst of speed at the end. He actually crossed head of these two!
I've been very proud to see how my son's sense of sportsmanship has developed over the years. When he was nine years old, he almost got thrown out of a soccer game because he was displaying such poor sportsmanship towards the other team. Not my proudest moment as a mother, let me tell you. But now, he is one of the only guys who fist bumps all the guys in line after the race, no matter what place he is in. I love that about him!
Look at those eyelashes ladies... aren't you jealous?
